- Leon VanBlaricum, 82, of Noble, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Burgin Manor in Olney.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Jim Beam officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery in rural Noble.
Mr. VanBlaricum was born September 15, 1928, in Decker Township, the son of Edgar and Bernice (Schnell) VanBlaricum. He married Dolores Jean Robards. She preceded him in death in 1969. He married Audrey Trowbridge Gibson on October 22, 1970. She survives.
He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
Mr. VanBlaricum is survived by his wife, Audrey VanBlaricum, of Noble; son, Kenneth Wayne VanBlaricum and his wife, Lyndal, of Noble; son, Brian Craig VanBlaricum and his wife, Carol, of Noble; daughter, Vana Venise Carlyle and her husband, Don, of Noble; stepson, Joe Gibson and his wife, DeAnna, of Midland, Texas; stepdaughter, Debra Eastin and her husband, Casey, of Flora; stepdaughter, Rebecca Schnautz and her husband, Larry Lee, of Clay City; daughter-in-law, Nancy VanBlaricum, of Noble; brother, Charles Harold VanBlaricum, of Noble; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Bernice VanBlaricum; first wife, Dolores VanBlaricum; and son, Steven Leon VanBlaricum.
