Entrance, Carlyle Cemetery, Carlyle, Clinton County, Illinois Carlyle Cemetery adjoins Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, and together they comprise the largest cemetery in Clinton County. They lie along Lake Road on the northeast corner of Carlyle. Section P, the easternmost part of Carlyle Cemetery, includes four old cemeteries (Allen, Foster, Heinzmann, and Nichols) that were moved to their current location to prevent them from being flooded when Carlyle Lake was developed in the early 1960s. |
