    George Washington Wogan, son of John and Arminda Wogan, born in Worreck County, Indiana November 7, 1855, departed this life February 10, 1934 at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 3 days.

    For the past ten years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Cleo Sullens. He had been in ill health for several years and had been confined to his bed for the past two weeks.

    In his earlier years he professed faith in Christ and united with the Christian church, remaining faithful to the end.

    He was united in marriage to Mary Brassfield March 3, 1888, who preceded him in death August 7, 1910.

    To this union was born seven children, two sons, Muriel and Floyd, and a daughter Blanche having preceded him in death.

    He leaves to mourn his departure, two sons, Arch and Hiram; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Conour and Mrs. Edna Sullens; a grand daughter, Leone Sullens, besides a host of relatives and friends.

    A precious one from us is gone.
    A voice we loved is still
    A place is vacant in our home,
    Which never can be filled.
    God in His wisdom has recalled
    The boon His love had given,
    And though the body slumbers here,
    The soul is safe in Heaven.

    Mary Brassfield was born June 13, 1872 and departed this life August 7, 1910 at the family home in Clay City.

    She was joined in holy wedlock to G. W. Wogan on the 3rd day of March 1888, to this union was born 7 children, three have preceded her in death and four remain to mourn their loss.

    She united with the Christian Church in Wabash County, Illinois, 1888 and placed her letter with the congregation here about a year ago. She lived a consistent Christian life.

    Funeral held in the family home in this city, Monday afternoon. Burial in IOOF Cemetery.

    She leaves a father & mother, one sister, a brother, husband and 4 children with a host of friends to mourn their loss.
