Later assigned to U.S. Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia, and U.S. Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, Virginia. Honorably discharged as a Seaman Second Class on March 19, 1946 at the Naval Personnel Separation Center, Shelton, Virginia. Earned the American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
