Notes: Clarence Cornwell, 66, rural Hazelton, died this morning in Good Samaritian Hospital following a brief illness. Retired from self-employment as a logger, he was a member of the United Pentecostal church in Vincennes and a veteran of World War II. He was born Aoril 3, 1920, in Missouri to William and Mary Cornwell. Surviving are his wife, Pauline ( Goldman ) Cornwell; six sons, Jack of New Harmony, Robert of Mount Comfort, Virgil of Snyder, Texas, James of Claremont, Ill., and David and Clarence Jr. of Hazelton; four daughters; Carol Ledet of Port Arthur, Texas, Jeannette Pond and Joetta Bottoms of Vincennes and Mary Arthur of Spencer; a brother, Raymond, East Prairie, Mo; 33 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son is deceased. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Flummerfelt-Goodwin Funeral Home. Family/Spouse: Goldman, Helen Pauline. Notes: William W. Cornwell, 78, of Vincennes route 5, died at his home at 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Surviving are the widow, Mary Cornwell, four sons, Charles, Lester and Clarence Cornwell of Vincennes, and Raymond Cornwell of East Prairie, Mo., and two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Hartsbury and Mrs Dorothy Rose of Vincennes; a sister, Mrs Nellie Bourkey of Bloomington, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The body is at the Stocker funeral home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted from the Pentecostal Church at Beal at 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. Conrad McGill officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. William married Denton, Mary Emily. Cornwell, 74, of 26 West Chicago avenue, who died Tuesday night at the Good Samaritan hospital, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Beal Pentecostal church, Rev. Russell Nelson officiating.
