    DANIEL WINDLE HEMRICH was born 02 January 1884 in Jasper County, Illinois, USA, the son of of John W. Hemrich and Josephine Negley. He grew up in Pixley Township, Clay County, Illinois, USA, appearing there on the 1900 and 1910 censuses. Dan worked as a farmer, and then later on as a garage mechanic. In 1905, in Clay County, Illinois, he married Miss Pearl E. Hastler. It is likely that Pearl died young, since Dan married again just four years later.

    On 16 June 1909, in Richland County, Illinois, Dan married Miss Julia May Tucker, daughter of Abraham Douglas Tucker and Clara Caroline Dickey. The couple lived in Pixley Township at first, then moved to Noble Village (1920 and 1930 censuses), and then back again to Pixley Township in Clay County, Illinois. Dan and May had no children. Dan died on the 25th of October, 1946, in Pixley Township, Clay County, Illinois, USA. He was buried in Hanna Cemetery two days later. 13 years later, in 1959, May also died, and was buried next to her husband in Hanna Cemetery.

'Carrie') was born on 23 Jul 1885 in Noble Township, Richland County, Illinois; died on 8 Apr 1959 in Olney, Richland County, Illinois; was buried in Hanna Cemetery, Noble, Richland County, Illinois.
