Henry Smith was born 29 April 1809 in New York to Thomas and Eva (MNU) Smith. County of birth is unknown at this time, but the family moved to Ohio before 1819 from New York. The birth date differs from the one listed on Carl Myers Memorial, but this new date was found in a family Bible and has been added here. Thomas and Eve Smith were members of the Quaker faith in Warren County, Ohio and the family can be found in many of the Quaker records for that area.

Henry married Crosson, Hannah. Hannah was born on 19 Apr 1816 in Ohio; died on 25 Aug 1851 in Warren County, Ohio; was buried in Edwardsville Cemetery, Edwardsville, Warren County, Ohio. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
