    Melinda-Malinda Adams d/o Moses Adams and widow Mrs. Sarah (?) Munson (1st husband Eliaseph Munson). She married Clarkson Cannon 1818-1820 Scott Co., KY. Because of Court House fire in Georgetown, KY., in the 1830's no marriage records surviveded. 1830 Federal Census Scott Co., KY. page 164 listed as Clarke Cannon. 1832 they are living in Blue River Twp., Hancock Co., IN., near her mother "Sally" Sarah Munson Adams, brothers Isaac and Lewis Adams. Her 1/2 brother Allen Munson living in Bandywine Twp. next to Blue River Twp., Hancock
    Co., IN.

    In 1833 Land Deed Scott Co., KY. Heirs of Moses Adams to Samuel Penn 4 Sep. 1833 lists Clarkson and Melinda Cannon and siblings as heirs selling land that was Moses and Sarah Adams in Scott Co., KY. 1840 Federal Census Hancock Co., IN., page 218 Clarkson Cannon and family. Melinda in age catagory of 40-50 years old. They had 4 boys and 3 girls.

    1845 Hancock Co., IN. Deed Book I, page 315 Aug. 1845 Festus Hall vs. Adams Heirs included is Malinda Cannon and Clarkson Cannon with siblings.
    I believe Melinda Adams Cannon died possibly in 1846-1848 time frame. Clarkson Cannon is next listed 1850 Edgar Co., Illinois living in William Cunningham household with 2nd wife Sarah Cunningham Adams. Marriage Record on file in
    Edgar Co., IL., for Clarkson Cannon to Sarah Cunningham 4 July 1848 Marriage Book A.
    Melinda Adams Cannon had an older brother James Adams that moved to Edgar Co., IL. around 1833 from Scott Co., KY. There is the off chance Melinda Adams Cannon might have died in Edgar Co., IL., and buried in same cemetery as Clarkson Cannon since he died just a few years later than she in 1852.(not proven)

    In 1846 people died of Congestive Fever, in 1847
    there were many deaths from Smallpox in the county. She died around 1846-1847 and it could have been from one of these diseases.
    Congestive Fever was old medical term for Malaria.
    We know Melinda Adams Cannon alive up till 1845 with name on above land deed.
