    Olney, Ill. — Revetta J. Travis, 86, of Clay City, died at 4:35 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

    Mrs. Travis was born December 17, 1923, in Sailor Springs, the daughter of James Arthur and Florence Mary (Dressel) Crackel. She married Leon Travis on December 17, 1940. He survives.

    She was a homemaker and member of Clay City Christian Church.

    Mrs. Travis is survived by her husband, Leon Travis, of Clay City; daughter, Jane Ann Smith and her husband, Joseph, of Olney; daughter, Joyce Arlene Boxdorfer and her husband, Mil, of Olney; son, Joseph Alan Travis and his wife, Kim, of Clay City; four grandchildren, Jason Smith and his wife, Melinda, Brian Boxdorfer, Reid Travis, and Courtney Musgrave and her husband, Aaron; and two great-grandchildren, Payton Smith and Reese Smith.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, James Arthur and Florence Mary Crackel.

    Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Clay City Christian Church with Pastor Darrell Brandon and Minister Ron Payne officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery.

    Memorials may be made to Clay City Christian Church or Alzheimer's Association.

    Notes:

    Mrs. Florence Crackel, 66, of Clay City, passed away Sunday afternoon following a heart attack, suffered while attending a Christmas program at the Clay City High School.

    She was the wife of Arthur Crackel of Clay City.

    In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Revetta) Travis of Clay City, and a sister, Mrs. Ella Holdebrand of Clay City. Arnold Frutiger of Sailor Springs is a foster brother. Three grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral services will be held at the Sailor Springs Christian church with Rev. Paul Boatman in charge assisted by Rev. Don Sigler.

    Burial will be at Clay City cemetery.

    Friends may call at the Easley-Padgett Funeral Home at Clay City.
