    Notes:

    Harold R. Good, 90, of Clay City, IL, died February 23, 2006, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

    Mr. Good was born March 17, 1915 in Wilson County, Kansas, the son of Preston Roland and Ruth Roberts Good. He married Madge L. Foster on July 6, 1938 in Russell, Kansas.

    He was an oil field pumper for Pure Oil and later Union Oil, was a World War II Army veteran, and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

    Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis P. Good; a daughter, Susan Burroughs; a brother, Howard W. Good; two granddaughters; and ten great-grandchildren.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Ray F. Good, and a sister, Reita M. Tolodziecki.

    Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home with burial in Clay City Cemetery.

    Military Service:
    Entered active service as a draftee on September 7, 1943 at Chicago, Illinois. Completed basic training and departed the U.S. on March 23, 1944 bound for the European Theater of Operations. Assigned to and served with the 81st Field Artillery BaBattalion as a Chief of Section (military occupational specialty 864) through the Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. Earned the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 silver battle star and the WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Sergeant on November 5, 1945 at the Separation Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

    Mrs. Good was born December 8, 1914 in Protection, Kansas the daughter of Charles Clyde and Erma Gertrude Smith Foster. She married Harold R. Good July 6, 1938 in Russell, Kansas and he preceded her in death February 23, 2006.

    She was a homemaker, and a faithful member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family and church.

    Survivors include a son, Dennis P. Good; a daughter, Susan C. Burroughs; two granddaughters; and ten great-grandchildren.

    Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a brother, Charles Fred Foster, and a sister, Eva G. James.

    Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora with burial in Clay City Cemetery.
