Mrs. Grace Inez Colclasure, daughter of John B. and Mary E. Graham, was born June 19, 1888 on a farm in Clay County, southwest of Iola where she spent her entire life. She departed this life, April 29, 1934 at the age of 45 years, 10 months and 10 days.

On September 24, 1904 she united with the Primitive Baptist Church of Iola and was a faithful and loyal member.

On November 15, 1911, she united in marriage to Guy H. Colclasure. Unto this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters, Pauline Shirley, Helen Genevieve and Inez Verniece, all of the children are at home.

She had a sweet and kindly disposition, ever showing consideration for others. She bore her years of suffering patiently and many days before her departure she said, "if I do not get back home, the Lord will take care of me." Just before passing away she expressed her attitude toward death in these words, "I am overjoyed."

Her life work was the rearing of her children. The characters her sons and daughters testify to her enabling influence and beauty and greatness of character. She was a loving wife and mother. Her devotion to her home and family endeared her to all.

Those of her immediate family left to mourn her departure are her devoted husband, five children, her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Graham of Flora; three brothers, Lanis Graham and Ray Graham, both of Dieterich, Roscoe Graham of Flora, and one sister, Mrs. Dora White of Flora. One sister, Floy preceded her in death.
