    Harold David Raley, 74, was a son of Harry F. and Ruth Mary Walsh Raley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph. He married Sandra Reese on April 20, 1963 in Champaign. She survives.

    Also surviving are a son, Heath (Christine Blankenstein) Raley, a daughter, Stacey (Scott) Hardy, two grandchildren, and his sister, Mary Ann (Lee) Emmons.

    He served in the U.S. Army.

    Sandra “Sandi” Ann Raley, 82, of Gilman, formerly of Elliott, passed away at 6:00 am Friday, August 21, 2020 at Norridge Gardens in Norridge, IL.

    Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 29th, at the Elliott Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

    Mrs. Raley was born August 1st, 1938, in St. Joseph, IL, daughter of Granville and Violet (Motsinger) Reese. She married Dave Raley on April 20, 1963, in Champaign. He passed in March of 2012.

    She leaves behind a daughter, Stacey (Scott) Hardy of Evanston; a son, Heath (Christine) Raley of Rochelle; five grandchildren, Caden and Tucker Hardy; and Harrison, Elliot, and Lucille Raley; and many friends from her time at Gilman Healthcare Center.

    While at Gilman Healthcare Center, she enjoyed playing Euchre, playing Bingo, and socializing with all the healthcare workers and residents. Often mom would attend mass and lead other residents in praying the Rosary. One of her favorite activities was sitting outside, taking in the sun and reading books. She will be missed by the friends she made at the healthcare center.

    Mrs. Raley was employed by Gibson Annex as a Certified Nursing Assistant until 1990.

    Harry H. Raley, 70, of Clay City, died Sunday at 10:30 p.m, in the Flora Nursing Center at Flora.

    The deceased was born August 1, 1870 in Clay County and lived his entire life in Clay County. He was a retired meat cutter, retiring in 1962 after being employed for many years at Murvin's store at Clay City.

    Funeral mass will be recited at the St. Steven's Catholic Church in Flora at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Father Alvin Grave as celebrant of the mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Flora. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Easley Funeral Home at Clay City, where friends may call.

    He was married to Ruth Walsh, Feb. 15, 1936, Pontiac, Mich. Survivors are his wife, son, David, Urbana; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mary Ann) Badger, Murphysboro; brothers Alex, Clay City; Robert, Frank both of Detroit, Mich.; David, Olney; sisters Mrs. Ray Middick, Fla.; Mrs. Clyde Beck, Olney; Mrs. Omar Scurlock, Newton; Mrs. Kenneth Harrison, Olney; Mrs. Ted Poorman, Olney; two
    grandchildren.
