Paddy spent most of her life working with horses and traveling to horse shows far and wide. She was active in saddle clubs at Clay City, Fairfield, and Albion, to name a few. During her late teen years, she did exhibition trick riding and riding with the White Horse Troup in Nebraska. After moving to Wayne County in 1967, Paddy worked at Fairfield Garment Factory and International Shoe Company in Flora.

Paddy J. Hale, age 82, of Flora, Illinois, a former Rinard resident, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, Illinois.

Paddy married Hale, J. Robert 'Bob' on 29 Jan 1971 in Salem, Marion County, Illinois. J. (son of Hale, Barnum E. and Easten, Katie A.) was born on 26 Jan 1920 in Rinard, Wayne County, Illinois; died on 26 Jun 2009 in Rinard, Wayne County, Illinois; was buried on 29 Jun 2009 in Bunker Cemetery, Rinard, Wayne County, Illinois.
