Geneva was born in Louisville, IL April 5, 1925 to Dick and Franke (Rinehart) Johnson. She married Charles William Hohlbauch in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1984. She married Eddie DeMaire in 1988 and he died in 2007.
Geneva was a member of Clay City Senior Center, Eastern Star, Ladies Shrine Club of Carthage, MO. She was known for the wonderful jelly she made. When living in Lamar, MO, she won numerous first place ribbons at the county fairs.
Surviving are Sons, Bob Hohlbauch and wife, Judy, Decatur, IL; Charles Hohlbauch and wife, Karen, Alton, IL. Daughters, Brenda (Hohlbauch) Ragan and Elizabeth (Hohlbauch) Hull and husband, Rod, Quenemo, KS. Sister, Virginia Kaiser of Ohio. Grandchildren, Jeff Hohlbauch, Leslie (Hohlbauch) Mills, Ron, Mike and Travis Ragan; Blake Strother and Amy Hull. 13 Great grandchildren, a Great Great Grandson, and a Great Great Granddaughter, Natalie, due anytime. Also several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her Husbands, Parents, Brothers, Leo, Don, Gail Richard, Robert, Sisters, Dorothy Jennings, Floetta Lofton, Audrey Broadwater, Ivanell Case, Elaine Brown and Great Great Grandson, Alex Mills.
