Notes: Pearly P. Brown In common with many others of the settlers of Clay County, who deserve especial mention in this history, and who occupy an enviable place in the hearts of the most honored citizens, is P. P. Brown, the subject of these lines. He came to Clay County, Ill., in 1855, from Vinton County, Ohio, where he was born June 13, 1835. His father, Pearly Brown, and his mother, Eliza Hulbert, were both natives of Connecticut, who settled in Ohio in the early history of Vinton County. Pearly P. Brown is the tenth child of a family of thirteen children born to these parents. Pearly married Dunkle, Clarissa in 1854 in Vinton County, Ohio. Clarissa was born on 21 Nov 1837; died on 30 Aug 1914; was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, Clay County, Illinois. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
