Notes: To this union eleven children were born, five preceding her to the better land. She united with the Christian church in 1878 in which she lived a faithful Christian life. She was a kind friend and neighbor and an affectionate companion and mother. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Susie Quakenbush and Mrs. Frankie Hodges; four sons, Truman, Lome, Wash and Emerson Boose; twenty-three grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Aunt Fanny, as we always called her, was a good neighbor and had a pleasant word for everyone, and while it is our loss, it is her gain. Elias married Handley, Francis Matilda 'Aunt Fannie' on 8 Sep 1866.
