Assigned to Battery D, 54th Anti-Aircraft Training Battalion, Anti-Aircraft Replacement Training Center, at Camp Callan, California. Honorably discharged as a Private on October 30, 1942 (just short of his 32nd birthday) at same station. Earned The American Defense Service Medal and The WWII Victory Medal for service during the periods of eligibility.
