    FLOYD A. BAITY TAKEN BY DEATH

    Floyd Austin Baity of Hillsboro, Iowa died at the Keosauqua Hospital Wednesday, December 9, at 3:55 a.m. at the age of 65 years, 2 weeks and 3 days.

    Mr. Baity was born November 2, 1894, at Zenia, Ill., the son of Harden and Freedona (Lee) Baity. On June 1, 1916, he was married to Flossie Marshall who passed away June 21, 1957. O March 24, 1958 he married Iva Clark who survivies as do the following children: two daughters, Mrs. Robert E. Lee (Erlene) of Middletown and Mrs. Wayne Bower (Audrey) of Glasgow: two sons, Floyd Jr. Baity of Mt Pleasant and Chester Baity of Salem; also 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one son, Bernice, his father, mother and one step-brother Carl.

    Most pf his life was spent in Illinois, farming. In 1941 they moved to Iowa where he has farmed since.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Salem Congregational Church with the Rev. Robert Penrod officiating. Burial will be in Salem East cemetery. The body is at the Waterman Funeral Home in Salem.

    Plan Salem Rites For Mrs. Baity

    SALEM--Mrs Flossie Amanda Baity, 50, died at Mercy hospital in Burlington this morning. She is survived by her husband Floyd Baity of Hillsboro, Ia., two sons, Chester of Mt Pleasant and Floyd Jr. of Salem; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Bower, Stockport, and Mrs Robert Lee, Burlington.

    Mrs. Baity was born July 14, 1898, at Rinard, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Annabelle Tousley Marshall. She was a member of the Indian Prairie Baptist church at Rinard, Ill..

    Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Salem Congregational church, in charge of the services the pastor, the Rev. Jay N. Waterman. Burial will be in the Salem cemetery. The body will remain at the Kaspers Funeral home until time of the service.

    BELLE ANNA (TOWSLEY) MARSHALL OBITUARY

    Belle Anna Towsley was born August 24, 1867, in McClean County, Illinois, to Warren and Hannah Towsley.

    She entered into rest on March 1, 1956, aged 88 years, 6 months, 6 days.

    She was married to Charles S, Marshall on May 15, 1887. To this union were born eight children. Of these, two sons preceded her in death.

    Surviving are four daughters and two sons, Mable Pemberton, Marion Illinois; M.L. Marshall, Bridgewater, South Dakota; C.G. Marshall, Beardstown, Illinois; Flossie Baity, Salem, Iowa; Alda Corry, St Louis, Missouri; and Lena Babcock. Morton Grove, Illinois; and five step-sons and daughters,

    Also one sister Clyde Johnson, Bloomington, Illinois; two half-sisters, Mrs. Bertha Purdy, Rinard, Illinois; Mrs. Cora Whitlock, Cisne, Illinois; two-half brothers, John Towsley, Pocatello, Idaho, and Rolla Towsley, Danville, Illinois.

    Her descendants include 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

    Also left to mourn her passing is a host of other relatives and friends.

    On April 14, 1943, she was married to Harry B, Higgason who survives her.

    She was a faithful member of Indian Prairie Missionary Baptist Church for 60 years. She was ever kind and helpful to all who needed her. It was a great source of joy to serve others. All who knew her will ever call her name blessed.
