    Notes:

    Larry Cain, age 78, of Olney, went to be with the Lord at 7:07 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his residence in Olney.

    Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. at Clay City Cemetery in Clay City. Pastor Paul Ridenour and Pastor Ryan Kersten will be officiating.

    Larry was born on November 4, 1938 in Olney, the son of Scott and Mayade (Travis) Cain. He later married Rosa Wenthe on December 12, 1966 in Tuscan, Arizona. She survives.

    He was a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 20 years before he retired. He also worked as a purchasing supervisor for Sparton Corporation in Flora. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Olney for many years. He served as president of the Olney Church League Softball for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved being a “Pop”. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

    Larry is survived by his wife, Rosa Cain, of Olney; 3 daughters, Candace Ridenour and husband, Paul, of Fenton, Missouri, Deana Van Fleet and husband, Jerry, of Sullivan, Missouri and Loranna Bare and husband, Thomas, of Calhoun; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Sloan, Frank "Buddy” Dallafior, Bradley Dallafior, Brandon Bare, Cooper Bare and Terra Van Fleet; and 3 great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Mayade Cain.

    Memorials can be sent to the family to help with final expenses or Teen Challenge Missouri in memory of Larry Cain.
