Later in his career he was an ROTC Instructor and rifle team coach at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Following his retirement, he attended Vincennes University studying accounting and bookkeeping, and later worked in several area businesses. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

    Mrs. Martha Etta Tucker, age 94, the widow of John Tucker, passed away early this morning Thursday at Richland Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for the past three days.

    Mrs. Tucker was born in Richland county the daughter of Marion Perry and Margaret Jones. She lived a large part of her life in Vincennes. She had recently made her home near Claremont with her son Allen.

    She leaves the following children. W. H. Tucker of Dundas, Mrs. Stella McVaigh, Mrs. Della Morgan, both of Olney, Allen Tucker of Claremont, Mrs. Inez Nesler, Ray Tucker, both of Evansville, IN, Mrs. Grace Holcomb of Clay City and Donald Tucker of Vincennes. There are 32 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren and ? great great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Lyle Berry officiating.

    Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery near Berryville.
