Assigned to and served with the Military Police Platoon, 1st 'Big Red One' Infantry Division in the Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns and in the Army Of Occupation thereafter. Earned The American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal With 2 bronze battle stars, WWII Victory Medal and The Army Of Occupation Medal (Germany). Honorably discharged as a Sergeant on May 4, 1946 at the Separation Center, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
