    KENNETH E. DICKEY, 85 of Flora, IL passed away from complications of a stroke at noon on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL.

    Kenneth was born May 3, 1926 in Belvidere County in northern Illinois to Earl and Stella (Austin) Dickey. He married Catherine Felix April 2, 1949 at Cisne, IL. They recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

    He was a Flora businessman and Phillips 66 jobber for 50 years. Kenneth was a post WWII veteran having served in the Air Force. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Flora, IL and the Flora Masonic Lodge.

    He is survived by his wife; one daughter Kathy Coyle; two sons Michael Dickey and Bruce Dickey; seven grandchildren Kerri Jo Malechuk, Ryan Dickey and J. D. Dickey; Katie Horton; Emily Coyle; Sara Kasper; and Colin Dickey. Also surviving are 14 great grandchildren.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother Donald, one sister Arlene Sweeney, one infant sister Mary and one daughter-in-law Karen Dickey.

    Funeral services for Kenneth E. Dickey were at Hosselton Funeral Home.

    Burial was in Cisne Cemetery.

    A Masonic service will be at 7:30PM Sunday.

    Memorials in memory of Kenneth Dickey may be given to Flora First Christian Church or Flora Volunteer Fire Department and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
