    Notes:

    Mr. Dyer was born April 7, 1919, in Xenia, the son of George William and Lillie Alice (Seagrave) Dyer.

    He married Mary Edminston on June 13, 1937 in Newton. She preceded him in death on March 14,1994.

    He was a self-employed oil field welder, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of Xenia Community Church, Flora VFW Post #3999, and Flora Masonic, Lodge #204 AF& AM.

    Survivors include one daughter, Sally Carnahan of Kissimmee, Fla.; two grand-daughters, Peggy Lynn George of St. Louis, Mo., and Sally Jean Sidman Johnston and husband John of Danville; four great-grandchildren, Danny, Malinda, Kim and Ronnie; and four great-great-grandchildren, Carley Jean, Christian, Samantha and Abby.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, two brothers, Frank and Bob, and four sisters, Amy, Edna, Maude and Lilly Mae.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with Pastor Bruce Horsley officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Clay County Cancer Fund.
