Stephen "Dylan" Sharp, 66, of Flora, died on Monday, September 20, 2021 at his home.

Dylan was born on February 13, 1955 in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Raymond "Butch" Earl Sharp and Etta Marie (Mitchell).

Dylan liked hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed attending "church" with friends at the river camp. Dylan took pleasure in working; whether it was in the oilfield working for Bangert's Well Service or bar tending. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his close friends at the VFW, whom he referred to as his family. Dylan loved spending holidays with all of his family at his brother Alan's house, where he was always in charge of frying the turkey.

Dylan is survived by his fiancée, Shelly "Shell" Goyner of Clay City; son, Stephen Sharp and wife Ashley of Olney; grandchildren, Landon, Blayn, Gabriel, Davian, Mason, and Lynae Sharp; brothers, Benny Sharp of Clay City and Allen Sharp of Clay City; step-sister, Sarah Williams and husband Darren of Flora; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darbie Sharp; and brothers Dennis Sharp and Jerry Sharp.

Cremation Rites were accorded, and a memorial service will be held for Dylan at the VFW in Flora at a later date.

Raymond "Butch" Sharp, 91, of Clay City, died on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Flora Health Care Center.

Butch was born on June 9, 1929 in Clay City, Illinois the son of Benjamin Franklin and Anna Francis (Gregg) Sharp. He married Florene (Tackitt) Payne, and she preceded him in death on April 7, 2013.

Butch is survived by his son, Benny Sharp of Clay City; son, Allen Sharp of Clay City; son, Dylan Sharp of Flora; daughter, Sarah Williams and husband Darren of Flora; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first and second wives; daughter, Darbie Sharp; son, Dennis Sharp; son, Jerry Sharp.

Memorials can be made to the family.

A Funeral Service will be held for Butch at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City, with a visitation beginning one hour prior.

Interment will follow at Clay City Cemetery.

Raymond married Mitchell, Etta Marie on 29 Nov 1949 in Louisville, Clay County, Illinois. Etta (daughter of Mitchell, James Calvin 'Jim' and PENROD, Myrtle) was born on 14 Jun 1933 in Wayne County, Illinois; died in Jan 1979 in Flora, Clay County, Illinois; was buried in Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, Clay County, Illinois.
