He operated a farm near Noble for many years and also, operated a fruit market in Olney for several months. He was well known throughout this area and affectionately known as "Pop" to many people.

John Moseley, age 78, widely known resident of R.R. 1, Noble, passed away early this morning at the Richland Memorial Hospital,where he had been a patient since Sunday.

John married Noe, Myrtle Clar on 16 Nov 1904. Myrtle (daughter of Noe, Matthew James and Midkiff, Henrietta Priscilla) was born on 21 Jul 1887 in Noble, Richland County, Illinois; died on 4 Apr 1977 in Lawrenceville, Lawrence County, Illinois; was buried in Noble Prairie Cemetery, Noble, Richland County, Illinois.
