Ray Norman Brainard, age 85, of Olney passed away December 1, 2013
He is survived by his wife, Hazel of 46 years; his daughter, Donna Kay and her husband, Don; his son, Joseph Denucci and his granddaughter, Dianne Boyer and children. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Louisa (Pettyjohn) Brainard; 3 sisters, Minnie, Bessie and Pansy; 2 brothers, Fay and Marvin; son, Jerry L. Brainard; his granddaughter, Shelly VanMatre and grandson Christopher Brainard.
He will be greatly missed by the ones he left behind.

Services for Mrs. Louisa Brainard, 85, Clay City were at the Cardascio Funeral Home, Clay City with burial in Clay City Cemetery. Bro. Doyle Keller officiated.

Mrs. Brainard died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday at Richland Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 2, 1892 in Clay County to Joseph and Alice Walburn Pettijohn. She was married to George Brainard in Louisville Jan. 30, 1914. He died in 1967.

She was a member of the Bloom Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Fay and Ray, Olney, and Glenn, Pittsubrgh, IL; daughters, Mrs. Wiley (Pansy) Maynard, Clay City; Mrs. Glen (Minnie) Frazier, Gamaliel, Ark., and Mrs. Glen (Bessie) Auler, Flora; a sister, Mrs. Mary Bricker, Clay City; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
