    Glen Wease, 64, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis.

    Born Dec. 27, 1947 in Noble, Ill., he was the son of Earl and Ruth (Skimhorn) Wease. He attended high school in Noble.

    A driller in oil fields, he was employed throughout Illinois and Wyoming. He worked in Wyoming for 27 years and moved to Thermopolis in 1994. He also was an auto mechanic repairing cars. He enjoyed hunting and traveling.
    He was preceded in death by his sister.

    Glen is survived his mother, sister and brother, all of Noble; his lifetime companion, Roberta Harris of Thermopolis; four children, Sherry Wease of Ely, Nevada, Darla Prince of Ashboro, N.C., Amanda Hicks of Ramseur, N.C. and Mark Wease of Vincennes, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Thermopolis.

    Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Noble with Brother William LITTLE officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery rural Clay County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

    Mr. WEASE was born on June 5, 1920, in Richland County, the son of John A. and Clara Mae (RYKER) WEASE. He married Ruth V. SCAMMAHORN Aug. 3, 1943.

    He worked in the receiving department at AMF. He was a Jehovah's Witness.

    He is survived by his wife, of Noble; two sons, Glen E. WEASE, of Wyoming, and D. WEASE, of Dion, AK; two daughters, Mrs. Clifton (Betty Jean) WILSON, of Noble, and Norma Jane STONE, of West Liberty; a brother, Chester WEASE, of Olney; five sisters, Edith BOXELL, of Flora, Alice PATTERSON, of Clay City, Mildred PATTERSON, and Mabel SOUDER, both of Noble, and Leone MASTRONI of Champaign; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

    Mr. WEASE was preceded in death by his parents.

    Ruth was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Noble, IL. She enjoyed playing the harmonica and organ and took pleasure in listening to music. Ruth was a very talented artist and enjoyed creating beautiful oil-based paintings. In her younger years she could be found in her garden planting gladiolas, peonies, and enjoying fresh strawberries and tomatoes. Ruth was kind and always had a smile on her face and a cheerful greeting to anyone she met.
