    Brooklyn Hope Armstrong, 16, of Carlinville passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Peoria County, as a result of an automobile accident.

    Brooklyn was born November 2, 1997, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Bryan and Kristy Ann (Lewis) Armstrong.

    Brooklyn was a Sophomore at Carlinville High School. She was a cheerleader, played soccer, volleyball, member of the track team as well as played in the high school band and served on the student council.

    Brooklyn attended the Cross Church in Carlinville. She was fun, and funny. Brooklyn was a joy to be around, and loved by many people. She was bubbly and talkative. She was one of those types of people who never met a stranger. Her smile, energy, and personality was encouraging and uplifting. Everyone loved her.

    Surviving are her father, Bryan Armstrong, mother, Kristy Ann (step-father Andrew) Armstrong-Ott, sister, Ashley (Daniel) Witzel, brother, Matthew Armstrong, brother, Michael Armstrong, sister, Kaylei LaLone, sister, Taylor Rice, step-sister, Amber (Jeff) Saathoff, step- brother, Jacob Ott, step-brother, Josh (Emily) Ott, step-brother, Andrew Ott.

    Also surviving are grandparents Bill and Marilyn Armstrong, grandfather, Ivan (step-grandmother Pam) Bricker, step-grandmother, Betty Ott, great-grandmother, Martha Lewis, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Brooklyn leaves behind her beloved cat, Isis.

    Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Carlinville.

    Davis Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
