Mary P. "Dolly" Hoard (nee Savage) died peacefully on Dec. 5, 2016, in Santa Clara, CA. She was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Central City, South Dakota. She was married to Charles Robert "Bob" Hoard on June 16, 1946.
Daughter of Mary and William Savage, sister of William "Bud" Savage and Yvonne Sullivan.
Survived by daughters, Rita Brunious (Wendell Brunious) of New Orleans and Karen Jenkins (David Jenkins) of Santa Clara, grandson, Brandon Brunious (Megan Harris Brunious) and granddaughter, Meredith Brunious (Ian Kennedy), all of New Orleans.
Mary's joys in life were family, friends, music, art and her cat, Sadie. She loved attending concerts and playing music with her friends and fellow musicians, painting with her friends and daughter and writing poetry.
Services will be held at St. Clare Church, 725 Washington, Santa Clara, CA at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016.
