    Adam Boose was "bound out" to a tailor in North Carolina. His master treated him cruelly and he ran away to Washington County, Indiana where he met Andrew Fulk and family. He married Elizabeth and had two children Martha 1835 and Elias 1839. Then they moved to Bible Grove Township, Clay County Illinois in 1839. There they had 3 more children Andrew 1840, George W. 1846 and Susanna 1848. This information was furnished by Frances Hodges.

    For the 1840 census he was with his wife and three children in Clay County, Illinois.

    For the 1850 census on 21 August 1850 he was with his wife and four children in Clay County, Illinois.

    For the 1860 census on 27 August 1860 he was with his wife and four children in Ingraham Prairie, Clay County, Illinois.
