    Carman "C. L." Harrison, 87, of Olney, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

    He was born on October 4, 1930 in Clay City, IL, the son of William and Mary (Patridge) Harrison.

    He married Phoebe (Thomas) on October 4, 2004 in Olney, IL. She survives him.

    C. L. served in the US Air Force and served in Korea. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. C. L. was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Eagles. He loved to ride motorcycles and got into woodworking when he retired. He also loved to hunt and fish. He loved dogs, especially Lizzy. C. L. loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

    C. L. is survived by his wife, Phoebe; daughter, Deb Henman of Olney; son, Leroy Harrison of Olney; son, Gerald (Beverly) Harrison of Olney; daughter, Carolyn (Joe) Holloway of Flora; daughter, Pam (Matt) Craig of Dundas; son, Les (Tammy) Harrison of Olney; son, David Harrison of Florida; step-son, Jerry Tucker of Olney; step-daughter, Tasha (Matt) Legg of Olney; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Terri Page, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers, and 1 grandson.

    Memorials can be made to the Olney VFW.

    A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with burial following in Haven Hill Cemetery. Full Military Rites will be performed at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home. Cremation Rites to be accorded following visitation.

    Phoebe R. Harrison, 70, of Sumner, formerly of Olney, died on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

    Phoebe was born on April 19, 1952 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of George H. and Mary Elizabeth (Carson) Thomas. She married Carman "C.L." Harrison on October 4, 2004 in Olney, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2018.

    Phoebe loved to be around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Hallmark and Game Show channel, and vacationing to the beach. Phoebe enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Donnie, and her sister, Joan. She was a member of the Eagles, VFW Auxiliary, and the Moose Lodge of Vincennes.

    Phoebe is survived by her son, Jerry (fiancée, Melissa Sechrest) Tucker of Sumner; daughter, Tasha (Matt) Legg of Sumner; grandchildren, Destiny, Emily, Jaedyn, and Dylan Legg; and Tristan Tucker; sister, Joan Lomas of Olney; boyfriend, Donnie Wininger of Sumner; nieces, Wanda Rice and Terri Bailey; nephews, Kevin Poland, James Wesley Lomas, Troy Thomas, and Timmy Thomas; and several great nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Connie Dressback; brother, George H. Thomas, Jr.

    A funeral service will be held for Phoebe at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the funeral home.

    Interment at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date.

John enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed growing sunflowers and rhubarb. He took pleasure in outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, and raising ponies. John was a people person and everybody enjoyed his company. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. John was a member of the Calhoun United Methodist Church.

    John in survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy McDowell of Calhoun; daughter, Cheryl Farrar and husband Mike of Calhoun; daughter, Beverly Harrison and husband Gerald of Olney; grandchildren, Greg Thomas, Jennifer Berry, Lee Harrison, and Josh Harrison; great grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon, Dakota, Kristina, Kaylee, Naleigha, Cheyenne, Cassie, Callen, and Lana; Sister, Becky Schmucker and husband Bob; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Lowell McDowell and Charles McDowell; and sister, Helen Davis.
