22283 Yukiko Kimura Akers, 89, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Saturday morning in a North Charleston hospital.

All services will be private.

Mrs. Akers was born July 5, 1929, in Japan. She was of the Christian faith, and she enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Akers was the widow of Walter A. Akers, Jr.

Surviving are, two daughters, Helen Akers of Collins, MS, and Patricia Sotomayor of Summerville; a son, John Akers of Moncks Corner; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was born August 20, 1969 in Odessa, Texas to William Henry Ferguson and Willia Jeanne (Thackerson) Ferguson.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Princeton VFW.

He is survived by his daughter, Haley Ferguson and her mother, Billie Jo White of Grapevine, Texas; brothers, Billy Ferguson of North Richland Hills, Texas and Glen Ferguson of Quinlan, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Willia Ferguson.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas with Pastor Jay Gibson officiating.

22292 Zane Moseley, 84, of Clay City, died on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his residence. Zane was born on October 11, 1935 in Clay County, IL, the son of Galen and Hazel (Travis) Moseley. He married Patsy (Herdes) on August 3, 1955 in Shawneetown, IL and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2012.

Zane worked for IDOT for 34 years as a highway maintainer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending his property. Zane took pleasure in driving his tractor and helping others start their gardens each year.

Zane is survived by his son, Tim (Randa) Moseley of Clay City; grandsons, Joshua (Tonya), Jacob, Adam (Tiffany) , and Dustin (Brittany) Moseley; granddaughter, Crystal (Myles) Lewis; step-grandchildren; Justin Clevenger, Keith Clevenger, and Bridget (Larry) Owenby; 17 great grandchildren; and sister, Judy Ashley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Billy Moseley; and sister, Wilma Shaffer.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Clay City Cemetery.

22295 Zelda C. Blessing, age 98, of Hutchinson, KS formerly of Clay City, IL passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at The Arbors at Waldron Place in Hutchinson, KS.

Zelda was born March 25, 1915 in Clay City, IL to Edward and Daisy (Washington) Coggan. She married John Leonard Blessing in 1936 in Carlyle, IL. He preceded her in death in 1966.

Zelda assisted her husband at the Blessing Drug Store in Clay City until 1971. She had attended the Clay City United Methodist Church and was a past member of O.E.S. Zelda loved her family and enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Kay C. Blessing; three grandchildren: Deborah R. Green and husband Kevin, Richard "Kent" Blessing and wife Jimmie, Brian John Blessing and wife Holly; five great-grandchildren: Trevor Green, Ashley Green, Allie Blessing, Jacob Blessing, and Coggan Blessing; special niece, Anne Coggan Johnston of Winston-Salem, NC; a great niece, great nephew, a great-great-niece; along with beloved cousin, Betty Turner, and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son (Robert Leonard Blessing), brothers (Letson and Kenneth Coggan), and sister (Norma C. Edlin).

A graveside service for Zelda Blessing was held at Clay City Cemetery.

The Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, IL was in charge of arrangements.
