4510 | Inez Nadine Moseley Obituary Our beloved mother and grandmother, Inez Nadine "Deanne" (Frank) Moseley, 94, of Clay City, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025, surrounded by family, at her granddaughter's home in Monticello, IL. Inez was born July 17, 1930, in Clay City Township, Clay City, IL, the daughter and ninth child of Samuel Walton Frank Sr and Mary Catherine "Katie" (Montgomery) Frank. She married Norman Dale Moseley on June 14, 1947, in Jeffersonville, TN. The devoted couple were married for 54 years before he preceded her in death on February 25, 2002. Inez was a remarkable woman who lived a life full of love, kindness, and compassion, and who touched the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She was the heart and soul of our family, a passionate homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and cousin. She loved her family with her entire soul. She was supportive and encouraging, always sweet and loving, and so proud to be called Mom and Grandma. She pridefully extended her love and support to all her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Inez was homecoming queen in high school. She was co-founder of the Historic Sailor Springs Foundation, Sailor Springs, IL. She was a member of the Sailor Springs Baptist Church, Sailor Springs, IL. For many years, she helped organize both the Frank and Montgomery family reunions. She enjoyed remodeling mobile homes in the 90s with her husband. She loved ballroom and country western dancing, singing, telling stories, and yodeling. Her sense of humor was second to none; she was a real prankster. For sport, she would frequently rearrange her home furnishings. Lastly, Inez always had a positive outlook on life, even in the face of adversity, and she never let anything dampen her spirits. As Inez held all of us in her beautiful heart, her everlasting memory, as an extraordinarily loving woman will live on forever in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the love we hold in our hearts. Inez is survived by her sons Rodney Dane Moseley, of Monticello, IL, Floyd Douglas Moseley (Margaret), of Lithia Springs, GA, and Timothy Paul Moseley, of Clay City, IL; grandchildren Rodney Shane Moseley (Rachel), of Mahomet, IL, Tara Shay (Moseley) Thompson (Steven), of Monticello, IL, Christine Michelle (Moseley) Watson (Michael), of Lithia Springs, GA, and Chadwick Aaron Moseley (Jodi), of Temple, GA; eight great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren. 4526 | INGRAHAM, CLAY CO, IL PVT CO. F 46 IL U.S. INF JOINED: SEP 29, 1863 ST LOUIS, MO MUSTER IN: SEP 29, 1863 ST. LOUIS, MO TRANS TO VET RES CORPS MAR 26, 1864 Dorman Ingraham was born in Edwards Co., Ill., Feb. 19, 1826, was married to Eveline Newman, and to them were born ten children. He with his father moved to Laclede Co., Mo., in 1859, and one time when on their way to Lebanon for supplies, were taken captive by the Confederates. They found nothing against Dorman and let him go. His father was kept a few days longer, and upon him promising to leave the state, he, too, was released. The two families returned to Ingraham, Ill., where the subject of this sketch died Sept. 17, 1880. After his return to Illinois, he enlisted in Co. F, 46th Regt. Ill. Vol., Sept. 29, 1863, and was transferred to the "Veteran Reserve Corps" Mar. 26, 1864; did service at Washington, D. C., and other points and was present at President Lincoln's second inaugural. He was an industrious farmer and excellent as a corn raiser, had a large family to care for, yet he did a great amount of reading, and possessing as he did a very retentive memory enabled him to speak entertainingly of the great men and events of the world's history. After the war he lived on Brooks Prairie and while here he interested his neighbors in religious matters, organized a Sabbath school and church in a school house and kept things going until he moved back to Ingraham. He took up his vacated eldership and continued to serve the congregation in that capacity until he was called hence. He was buried at Ingraham, and his wife, after 32 years of widowhood, was laid by his side Oct. 12, 1912. As I remember, his sermons were short, to the point and instructive, and as to offenses he never gave them, neither did he allow himself to take them from others. | Ingraham, Dorman (I55606)
