Mrs. Mullins was born March 10, 1882. She was married to Mike Mullins, who died at Clay City in 1924. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Easley Funeral Home at Clay City with Rev. S. L. Milnor in charge. Burial will be in Clay City cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Merl Welsh of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Mrs. Howard Delaney of Noble. There are three grandchildren. Mrs. Hubble was the widow of Gale "Gabby" Hubble whom she married March 16, 1946 in Clay City, Illinois. They lived numerous places before moving to Clyde from Abilene in April 1969. She was a meat processor at Safeway for over 20 years. Mrs. Hubble was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Hubble is survived by one son, William Hubble and his wife Vickie of Byers, Texas; two daughters, Debby Huston and her husband Dennis of Bonita Springs, Florida and Candy Howard and her husband Steven of New Braunsfels, Texas; one brother, Jim Stanley of Laredo, Texas; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. 6207 | Mrs. Ovella Cloninger, 73, resident of Fairfield for a number of years since her retirement, died unexpectedly at 5:38 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind. Mrs. Cloninger has been in frail health for a number of years, suffering from a kidney problem. She was required to take regular kidney dialysis treatments every two or three days in Evansville. Died During Surgery The Press was told that she died while undergoing surgery to replace an attachment in her arm used in the dialysis treatments. She resided at 406 East Center Street. Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Nales Funeral Home with Rev. Don Sweet officiating. Burial was in the West Church cemetery near Mt. Erie. Mrs. Cloninger was born in Wayne County near Mt. Erie on Nov. 5, 1906, the daughter of James and Nellie (McDowell) Bushong. She was married to Francis Cloninger, who farmed in Missouri near St. Louis. He died in 1967. Mrs. Cloninger lived in the St. Louis area for over 40 years. She worked as a private nurse, helping take care of elderly people. After her husband's death, she retired and moved to Fairfield. She was a member of the West Church near Mt. Erie. Her only survivor, a brother, Joe Bushong, of Springerton, died on Wednesday, the day before her death. A story about his funeral arrangements appears in today's Press. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Mulvey officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, May 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Newton. Memorial gifts in memory of Barbara may be made to Gift of Hope. Barbara was born on July 5, 1951, in Butler, Pa., the daughter of Ted and Jean (Johnston) Barnhart. On Sept. 4, 1971, Barbara married Paul Mulvey. He survives. She was a substance abuse counselor for Heartland Human Services, Effingham. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read, as it was said she had read through Newton Public Library. She was a giving person in life and even in death as she chose to be an organ donor. 6223 | Mrs. Rosa Dunahee, 95, of Clay City, died at 1:50 p.m. January 24, 1974, in the Burgin Manor at Olney. She was born in Clay County on March 22, 1878. She was baptized at the age of 15 in the Sailor Springs Christian Church and became a member of the Clay City Methodist Church on March 3, 1930. She was united in marriage to William L. Dunahee on October 28, 1896 at Fairfield. Her husband preceded her in death on April 18, 1926 and one daughter, Zora Mae Died in infancy. Following her husband's death, she resided in the family home at Clay City until she was 90 years of age. Surviving are four sons, Pearl of Olney; Ivan of Calhoun, Hancle of Clay City; and Jefferson of Collinsville; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Wease and Mrs. Mary Wease, both of Noble; Mrs. Pansy Carroll of Olney, Mrs. Avis Eikleberry of Wapella, and Mrs. Ruby Tonn of Flora and one brother, Fred Ross of Orlando, Florida. She had 32 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services, with Rev. S. L. She had worked as a clerk at the Otis Wilson store in Johnsonville. FUNERAL SATURDAY Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Bro. She was born at Flora Aug. 22, 1918, the daughter of Ora C. and Laura M. Bethel McQueen. On Oct. 31, 1937, she was married to Eber O. Wilson. She was a lifetime member of the Flora American Legion Auxillary, the Flora VFW Auxilliary, a lifetime member of the DAV, a charter and lifetime member of the Flora Eagles and was a member of the Johnsonville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hilliard was born in Wayne County August 24, 1893, the daughter of Sidney and Rena Young Cook and was married to Samuel Hilliard November 20, 1910. they had six children and two have preceded her in death. She was a member of the Rock Branch Church and active as long as her health permitted. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dale and Donnie; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Lane and Mrs. Duane Pond; a brother, James Cook; a sister, Bertha Hale; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. After her employment with JCPenny she chose to stay home and take care of her grandchildren. Sara was also a very active member of Harmony United Methodist Church in Flora. She later worked at Booth Resources and also at North Wayne Insurance in Flora, Illinois until she could no longer work. Shirley is survived by her children, Steven D. ODell of Clay City, IL, Douglas W. O Dell of Clay City, IL, Pamela A. (Chuck) Young of Clay City, IL, her grandchildren, Jennifer ODell, Heather Middleton and Caleb Middleton and by her three great grandchildren. Monroe Street, Olney, was fatally injured in a two-car collision, Saturday evening about 5:45 , on a gravel road about 7 miles southeast of Clay City. Her husband is a senior store-keeper for the General Telephone Company. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Olney. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fern Kelly of Highland, Ind., Mrs. June Kelly of Chicago and Mrs. Johnsie Berger of Rt. 3 Noble; one brothers, Joe Wilson of Clay City and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Ragsdale in charge. Interment was in Haven Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Williams husband, Francis Williams, was injured in the accident and is a patient at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. His condition is described as improved at the hospital today. The second car involved in the crash was driven by James D. Hough, 16, of near Noble, and was occupied by his brother, Glenn Hough, 18. Both were admitted as patients at Richland Memorial Hospital, but both have now been released from the hospital after treatment and observation. 6246 | Mrs. T. A. Chaney quietly passed away on Monday evening, Dec. 14, 1925, at the home of her grandson, Owen Kitley, anemia being the cause of her death. Mrs. Chaney had been ill for several months and all that the skill of physicians and the loving ministrations of dear ones was of no avail. Life Is not all sunshine but thare was no burden that was too heavy for this noble woman to bear, no cloud but there was a silver lining, no cloud that hid the Master's face or that lessened her faith and confidence in her Master, but rather faith increased and she was ready to pass over the Great Divide. She will be sadly missed by her relatives and many friends. Mrs. Chaney was a member of the Journal-Record staff of correspondents. She wrote under the name of Josephus since the organization of the Flora Record In 1912, until five months ago. On account of falling health she left her home in Rinard and came to Flora to make her home with her grandson, Owen Kitley and wife. Three sons, George Kitley, of Leslie, Mich., Elmer, of Eagle Grove, Iowa; Louis, of Moscow, Idaho, and several step-children and grand-children are left to mourn the loss of their loved one. The services marking the final ceremonies over the remains of the well known woman were held at the M. E. church in Rinard, Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made In the Bunker Hill cemetery.
