Mr. Hall was born on September 6, 1930, in Bridgeport, the son of William Elmer and Beulah E. (Keneipp) Hall. He married Charlene Pygott on November 27, 1949, in Mattoon. She survives. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist 'Church in Ramsey. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Charlene Hall, of Ramsey; a son, Donnie Hall and his wife, Janet, of Clay City; a daughter, Barbara Pulley, of Johnston'City; a brother, Eugene Hall, of Clay City; a sister, Evelyn Hostettler, of Clay City; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was 78. The son of Alcium Warren Dulaney and Lavena Corrine Randall Dulaney, he was born June 30, 1926, in Flora, Ill. He married Lyndall N. Moore Purcell on Oct. 18, 1944. They divorced. Mr. Dulaney moved to Boulder in 1952. He worked for Chevrolet as a mechanic and salesman from 1952 to 1972, and for Boulder Toyota as a mechanic from 1972 to 1992. Mr. Dulaney served in the Army from Nov. 2, 1944, until Aug. 23, 1946. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW. "He loved all outdoor sports, especially hunting, fishing and gardening," his family said. Survivors include a son, Steven Dulaney, of Louisville; a daughter, Sharon Bauer, of Buckeye, Ariz.; a brother, Dale Dulaney, of Flora, Ill.; a sister, Bonnie Thatcher, of Flora; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip W. Dulaney Jr., and two brothers, Carl Dulaney and Joe Dulaney. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today in the Crist Mortuary Stateroom, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. Phoebe was born on April 19, 1952 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of George H. and Mary Elizabeth (Carson) Thomas. She married Carman "C.L." Harrison on October 4, 2004 in Olney, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2018. Phoebe loved to be around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Hallmark and Game Show channel, and vacationing to the beach. Phoebe enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Donnie, and her sister, Joan. She was a member of the Eagles, VFW Auxiliary, and the Moose Lodge of Vincennes. Together with his parents, Peter and Elizabeth (Kalb) Hasler, who crossed the Atlantic in 1845, and, being poor, started West, where land was cheap, with the determination of building for himself a home. August 1, 1845, he located in Taylor Township, Greene County Ind., where he has since continued to reside. His mother died in 1865, and his father in 1876. Christian began for himself, a poor boy, and the characteristic traits of German people consisting of industry and frugality, has been a marked feature in his life. By the hardest of labor, he has secured a well-stocked farm of 580 acres, besides being free from debt, and with money loaned out to less fortunate neighbors. Mr. Hasler is a Democrat in politics, and while living in his native country served four years in the regular army. He has been twice married, by his first wife, Sarah Stone, being the father of three children; Margaret, Henry and Elizabeth. Phyllis was a past school secretary for the Flora Unit #35 School District and a member of First Christian Church of Flora and Clay County Hospital Auxiliary. Phyllis was born June 28, 1936 at Sperry, Oklahoma to Henry (Hank) I. and Verbie (Prock) Caldwell. She married Gilbert Dean Hale September 3, 1965 at Cisne Christian Church. Phyllis moved to Cisne, Illinois with her family in 1945. She graduated from Cisne High School with class of 1955. After graduation, she worked as a secretary at the Cisne Grade School for several years. She was a member of the Clay County Home Extension serving as President for many years; a lifetime member of Royal Neighbors of America, and a member of the Cisne Christian Church. She served on the Stanford Township Election Board for many years. Phyllis is survived by her husband Gilbert Dean Hale of Clay City, Illinois; one son Joey (Kristin) Hale of Dupo, Illinois and two grandchildren Nicole and Jesse. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters Lois Barnfield and Carolyn Barrett; and one brother Carl Caldwell; great niece Kensey Pond and great-great nephew Kash Barnfield. 7157 | Phyllis Jean Sager, age 88, of Marion, IL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at 8:18 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at home in Marion. She was born on Tuesday, August 6, 1929 in Marion, the daughter of Barney Floyd and Eulala Inez (Poteete) Russell. Phyllis grew up and attended school in Marion and was a graduate of Marion High School class of 1947. Phyllis was a member of the Second Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary both of Marion, She was united in marriage to W. Leroy Sager, on Saturday, October 7, 1961 in the Zion United Church of Christ in Marion. Phyllis worked for many years and retired in 1989 after working for Electrolux Vacuum Sweeper Company in Marion for thirty-two years. She enjoyed traveling and camping, visiting almost every state including Alaska and Hawaii. She especially enjoyed the southern states, Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Branson. She always kept busy and was always interested in the activities of her family, especially those of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed the many times they shared together and the memories that were created will now be cherished by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Sager of Marion; her children, Lisa Weaver and partner, Ron Rogers of Marion and Tom McDowell of Carbondale, IL; step children, Dennis Sager of Vincennes, IN and Karen Ulrich of Sumner, IL; three grandchildren, Jeremy Weaver and wife, Allison, Lesley Decker and husband, Ryan, and Emiley Hall and husband, Kevin; three step grandchildren, Dave Ulrich and wife Deon, Matthew Sager, and Lesley Beard and husband, Spencer; nine great-grandchildren; sister, LeAnn Ashley and husband, Herb of Paducah, KY and brother, Ron Russell and wife, Fran of Paducah, KY; other extended family, and many friends. The visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22nd at the funeral home. During the visitation a "Reflection of Life" DVD Memorial Tribute was presented to the family and friends and featured special people places and events of Phyllis' life. The funeral service was at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. John Holst presiding. The prelude and postlude musical selections were recorded piano selections. Special recorded vocal musical selections presented during the service were "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" by Steve Wariner, "Go Rest High on That Mountain" by Vince Gill, and "Amazing Grace" by Elvis Presley. Special comments of memory were presented during the service were by Jeremy Weaver. Interment followed in Maplewood Cemetery of Marion, IL. Those serving as pallbearers were Ron Rogers, Ryan Decker, Jeremy Weaver, Kevin Hall, Justin Billingsley, Kyle Snow, and Dave Ulrich. Following the graveside committal service at the cemetery family and friends gathered at Phyllis and Leroy's home for a meal and continued time of fellowship and support. For those who preferred, memorial contributions were made to "Shriners Hospital for Children" or "Hospice of Southern Illinois" and mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Miller of Bloomfield; daughter, Sharon Miller of Bloomfield; son, Stephen Miller of Indianapolis; brother, Henry Hasler of Bloomfield; sister, Betty Jo Frye of Bloomfield; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was united in marriage to Edwin Ed Arkel Vail on November 3, 1951, in Flora, and together they shared 52 years of marriage until his death February 10, 2004. Phyllis was baptized at Red Brush Christian Church and was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and time spent traveling with Ed to Texas during the winters. Her greatest passion was her children and grandchildren and she will be remembered as a dedicated CNA and caregiver. She is survived by a son: Dennis (Carla) Vail of Pesotum; 2 daughters: Christine (Jim) Hallett of Savannah, Tennessee, and Patsy White of Effingham; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister: Rhesa Eckelberry of Flora; and many nieces and nephews also survive. She married Everett Leroy Runyon who preceded her in death on April 29, 1980 and she later married Lyle Patterson on May 17, 1985. Lyle preceded her in death on May 21, 2016. Phyllis enjoyed people and family time. She was a very sociable person and had a strong faith in the Lord. Phyllis took pleasure in attending church at First Christian Church in Noble. 7166 | Pinkney Pinky Harold Fulk, age 91, of Flora, Illinois, and formerly of Bible Grove, passed away Monday morning, March 2, 2020, at Clay County Hospital. He was born October 15, 1928, in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Pinkney A. and Searbrina L. Ma (Mefford) Fulk. He was united in marriage to Sally L. Reed on July 11, 1966, and together they shared 35 years of marriage before her unexpected passing in 2001. Pinkney served in the US Army during World War II and was stationed in Berlin when it was bombed, though he did not speak of this often. He also served in the Korean War and was in the Police Action in Germany. He was an oilfield worker for Shelby Britton, Strickland Oil, and Tally Well Service for several years and also worked as a Union construction worker. For many years he served as the campground host and operated the concession and bait shop at Forbes State Park. Pinkney loved playing cards, especially pinochle with the club, and poker on the holidays. He also greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, playing horseshoes, and anything to do with the outdoors and shared this love with his family and friends. Pinkney loved his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends with all of his heart and soul. He will be deeply missed by all of them and they will cherish the memories they have of him. He is survived by his sons: Tony (Lois) Fulk of Flora, Pinkney Franklin Fulk of Flora, Larry (Peggy) Pierce of LeBlanc, LA; daughters: Dianne Misselbrook of Flora, Kathy Schoonover of Effingham, Linda (Charlie) Bosley of Toledo, Margie (Terry) Moore of Louisville, Cindy (Roger) Cook of Flora, Lois Dean Martin of Louisville, Lisa Fulk (Lenny Thoele) of Montrose, and Mary Stevens of Owensboro, KY; sister-in-law: Betty Reed of Springfield; several grandchildren, along with one very special granddaughter and caretaker who would do anything he asked and who saved his life from his house fire: Diona (Andy) Griffy; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive, along with his dog Chevy. He was preceded in death by his parents: Pinkney and Lois Fulk; wife: Sally Fulk; four sisters: Rose, May, Susie, and Janey; two daughters: Mary Holste and Connie Carter; a son: Robert Boogie Bateson; three son-in-laws: Tom Holste, Perry Martin, and Merle Miller; a daughter-in-law: Lorraine Pierce; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Blaze.
