- Sara McDowell takes hand in marriage of Benjamin Wylie
Sara Adrienne McDowell and Benjamin Andrew Wylie announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Parents of the future bride are Roger and Glenda McDowell of Louisville. Parents of the future groom are Jerry and Melissa Garrison of Fairfield and Jerry and Elaine Wylie of Canton, MI.
Grandparents of the future bride are Charles and Eloise (Bollman) Fritschle of Newton, the late Lyle Bollman and Leona McDowell Taylor of Clay City, the late David Taylor and the late Adrian McDowell.
Grandparents of the groom are Russell and Dorothy Wilson of Fairfield and the late Dellos and Opal Wylie.
The future bride is a graduate of Effingham High School and a 2005 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She is enrolled in the speech pathology graduate program, where she is pursuing a Master of Science Degree.
The future groom is a graduate of Fairfield High School and is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice at Southern Illinois University.
The couple is planning an Aug. 6 wedding.
