- Calvin Colclasure, 84, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of the Flora area, died at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services were May 14 at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna with Rev. Jeff Lowery officiating.
Burial was in Wise Robinson Cemetery in Ozark, with military rites by Beggs-Gurley VFW Post.

Calvin lied about his age, as a teen, in order to join the navy, and he made the Navy his career. He was married 3 times, the first two times to pretty women who didn't take to taking care of the homeplace while he sailed away for months at a time. There were jokes about him having 'a woman in every port' - which could have been true or not. He had 2 children by each wife (including 1 adoption). His third wife, Violet, was a big, homely, cheerful, jolly, likeable woman who could sing and play the piano and organ like nobody's business. She worked in an office and gave organ lessons on the side. She was a spinster and Calvin married her, when he left the Navy, because of her personality; he loved music and laughing and a good time. They adopted Ruth Ann, then had Jamie, who had health issues, and as a result, never worked, except for a short time once as a night watchman in a job Calvin found for him. Although I liked Calvin a lot and he could be great fun, his comedy and silliness could become wearing, and he didn't always behave seriously or responsibly. Violet was a pretty steady type and I think she was the making of their marriage.
Steve and Jackie were the issue of his first marriage, and Matt and Brigette were the children of his 2nd marriage.
After retiring from the Navy at 30-something, Calvin worked as a welder and claimed that he worked on the Sears tower in Chicago. He and Violet were involved with Eastern Star and the Masons, and he worked his way up to the Shriners, becoming a Shriner clown, riding in a mini-clown car and making balloon animals for various events.
