He leaves his wife, the former Clarabelle Rinnert whom he married in Salem on September 22, 1930; a son, Jack; two daughters, Kathryn Wyatt and Patsy Mosley; two brothers, John and C. J.; three sisters, Helen Everett, Elizabeth Ivy, and Ethel Carder; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Clay City Chapel of Cardascio-Easley Funeral Home with burial in the Clay City Cemetery.
