• Notes

  Mildred and Floyd were the owners of “Floyd’s Place” in Oblong for many years. Mildred was also a homemaker. She attended school in Wendelin and Noble, IL and graduated from Noble High School. Mildred was a founding member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Oblong, IL; member of the Altar Society and was awarded the 2013 Women of Distinction Award, Our Lady of Good Counsel Award. Mildred was also a member of the Oblong American Legion Post #219 Auxiliary. She loved to put totogether jig saw puzzles and after completing them she would make them into framed pictures; crocheting, making all the kids afghans. Mildred and Floyd loved to dance the schottische and Mildred was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals watching the games on TV all the time.
