  Shirley Mae Mitchell, 93, of Noble, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at her residence. Shirley was born May 9, 1929 in Midwest, Wyonming, the daughter of Lloyd and Gladys (McClintock) Callahan. She married Charles Mitchell on September 14, 1946 in Olney, Illinois, and Charles preceded her in death on December 30, 2004. Shirley was an avid reader and loved the outdoors, flowers, and gardening. Shirley is survived by her son, Charles Rodney (Tonya) Mitchell of Noble; daughter, Beverly (Dennis) Souder of Noble; son, Michael (Sherry) Mitchell of Olney; daughter, Dana (Dan) Hout of Noble; daughter, Barbara (Dallas) Tomblinson of Noble; son, David (Jamee) Mitchell of Newton; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Betty Bower; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marian Hartung, brother-in-law, Glenn Bower; and step-great grandson, Matthew Kroeger. Cremation Rites were accorded, and interment will take place at Hanna Cemetery at a later date.
