For the past ten years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Cleo Sullens. He had been in ill health for several years and had been confined to his bed for the past two weeks. In his earlier years he professed faith in Christ and united with the Christian church, remaining faithful to the end. He was united in marriage to Mary Brassfield March 3, 1888, who preceded him in death August 7, 1910. To this union was born seven children, two sons, Muriel and Floyd, and a daughter Blanche having preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, two sons, Arch and Hiram; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Conour and Mrs. Edna Sullens; a grand daughter, Leone Sullens, besides a host of relatives and friends. A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved is still A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled The boon His love had given, And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in Heaven.
