  Obituary from Flora Record Journal: On Wednesday morning, January 12, 1916, the community was saddened to learn of the sudden death of one of its highly honored and respected citizens, in the person of Aunt Mary Kinnaman, as she was familiarly called by her large circle of friends. Mary Ann Luse, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Luse was born February 15, 1841, in Gurnsey Co., Ohio and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. J. Meyer, January 12, 1916 at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was the last surviving member of a family of ten children. She came to Clay County with her parents in 1864. She was united in marriage to Henry Kinnaman in November 1865, and for thirty-seven years they walked together, "keeping the ordinances of the Lord, blameless." To this union three children were born. They were: Sophia May Meyer, of Flora; Charles Henry of Joliet, Il.; and Elmer Paul of Flora. She also leaves seven grandchildren to whom she was much attached. She also was a mother to three of Mr. Kinnaman's children by a former marriage. The son, Alonzo Clay Kinnaman of St. Louis, was also present at the funeral. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church. The body was carried to its last resting place in the city cemetery by the following officers of the church: W. E. Wood, C. E. Wolfe, P. A. Meyer, E. W. Bryan, F. G. Meyer, and B. F.
