    • Notes from Barbara Maglone: "Born in Wurttemberg, Germany (came to America at the age of 4. Died in
      Mt. Pulaski, Illinois Buried in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. He was a brick
      layer and farmer. Married Catherine "Katie" Dunmier in 1874 who died
      March 12, 1875 in childbirth. She and the baby son are buried in Lake
      Bank Cemetery near Latham, Illinois.. ( Baby son, Henry J. died May 18,
      1875.)
      Jacob Jr. married the second time to Martina "Mattie Bertram (also
      spelled Bertrang or Bedrang), Born Movember 3, 1853 at Carroltown,
      Pennsylvania, died May 8, 1934 at Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, buried with
      Haclb in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Martina's mother was Christina Bertrang,
      is buried there alongside her daughter.

      Jacob, prier to his death in 1928, can be remembered as being bald, of
      slender hight, blue twinkling eyes and mustachioed. He owned a Ford
      touring car and he and Mattie lived in the south part of Mt. Pulaski at
      the time of his death, having moved into town from on of their farms
      south of Mt. Pulaski a few years earlier. He and Mattie had seven
      children:
