  Gaylord A. Gill, 85, of Clay City, died October 12, 1997, at Flora Healthcare Center. Gaylord was born June 23, 1912, in Wayne County, the son of James A. and Emma Hale Gill. He married Bonnie Frank September, 1934, in Wayne County. She preceded him in death November 24, 1982. He then married Alice Wilson May 14, 1987, in Clay City. He was a retired farmer and a member of Clay City Christian Church and IOOF Clay City #384. He also drove the school bus for several years at Clay City. He is survived by his wife, Alice Gill; two sons, Jim and Jerry Gill; three daughters, Lois Stanley, Doris Poppe, and Kaye Cash; six step-children; one sister, Rosa Owen; 13 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, three brothers, and a sister. Funeral services were at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City with burial in Clay City Cemetery.
