- Lloyd Brassie, 62, a long time resident of Olney, passed away at the family residence at 116 E. Butler St., this morning following a long period of ill health.
Mr. Brassie was the son of Leo Brassie Sr. and Stella Spangler Brassie.
He was married to Millie A. Foster on Sept. 8, 1973 at Lawrenceville.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Stringtown.
He is survived by his wife, Millie, and children, Linda Johnson of Paxton, Donna Wyatt of Barlett, Sandy Conway of Schaumburg, Karen Osborn of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bobby Brassie of Houston, Texas, 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; father, Leo Brassie Sr., of Olney; three step daughters, and two step sons, Rita Gaines of Olney, Rosemary Martin of Seminary community, Shirley Coldwell of Mills, Wyo., Donnie Ford of Bement, and Charles Schackman of Newton. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Stella Potter, and Mrs. Freida Foster, both of Olney, Juanita Brassie of Rantoul, Patty Van Fossan of Lawrenceville, and Leo Brassie Jr. of Calhoun.
His mother has preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Olney with the Rev. Fr. L. P. Duesing the Celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the Summers Funeral Home with Rosary to be recited.
Mr. Brassie was a retired heavy equipment operator and had worked on several large building projects in this area. He was a member of Local 841 of the Operating engineers whose offices are in Terre Haute, Indiana.
