- Virginia R. Kissen, 85, of Bridgeport, died at 12:19 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2005, at Lawrence Community Healthcare Center in Bridgeport.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today at Hanna Cemetery in Noble with Reverend Dwight McDaniel officiating. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kissen was born on April 1, 1920, in Edwards County, the daughter of Delbert and Estella Rosetta (Daeily) McDowell. She married Henry Aldridge. He preceded her in death. She married Henry "Pat" Kissen. He preceded her in death.
She was a retired restaurant hostess. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Women of the Moose in Olney and American Legion Auxiliary in Bridgeport.
Mrs. Kissen is survived by five sons, Jim Aldridge and his wife, Kay, of Olney, John Aldridge and his wife, Bonnie, of Tyner, Ky., Tom Aldridge, of Bridgeport, Rick Kissen and his wife, Teresa, of Bridgeport, and Roger Kissen and his wife, Roberta, of Bridgeport; a daughter, Janet Andrews and her husband, Joe, of Millington, Tenn.; friend, Jan Ellison and her husband, Bob, of Bridgeport; and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and three brothers, Frank, Darrell and Bob.
Memorials may be made to Bridgeport Senior Citizens center.
