- Violet Yingst, 92, of Edgewood, IL died April 7, 2006 at Flora Pavilion Nursing Center.
Mrs. Yingst was born June 13, 1913 in Champaign County, the daughter of Roy M. and Edna Gard Landreth. She married Lewis E. Yingst April 28, 1931 in Pesotum and he preceded her in death September 1, 1997.
She had worked as a housekeeper, was a homemaker, and was baptized in the Full Gospel Church in Edgewood.
Survivors include five sons, James, Vic, Carl, Robert, David, and Glenn Yingst; five daughters, Ruby Caldwell, Maxine Wilson, Violet Lilley, Ruth Liska, and Fern Hays; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and great-great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, son, Lewis E. Jr.; daughters, Laura Kathleen Yingst, Betty Fancher, and Emma Davis; a brother, a sister, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Pagel Funeral Home with burial in Mahon Cemetery in rural Mason.
