  Donna K. (York) Luke, 73, of Olney passed away on Thursday, July 12th, 2018, at 9:57 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Donna was born July, 15th, 1944 in Chauncey, IL to Alice 'Tommy' (York) Coan. She married John Luke on June 8th, 1968 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Calhoun, IL. Donna was loved by many. She was a homemaker and full-time aunt. She was active in the lives of her many nieces and nephews, babysitting, attending their school events, and collecting each newspaper article they were in. She enjoyed collecting bears and snowmen, going to rummage sales and feeding the neighborhood cats. Donna will be missed and remembered by her husband of 50 years, John Luke; father, John R. Coan; sisters, Becky Davis and Jo Ann Coan; brother, Gregory Coan; nieces and nephews, Tabatha (Zack) Slater, Angela (David) Zuber, Destini Coan, Noah Perry, Hunter Perry, Emma Slater, John Slater, Koy Stevens, and Luke Slater, all of Olney. Donna is preceded in death by her mother Alice 'Tommy' Coan; nephews, Micheal 'Scott' Cantrell and David Davis. Please join the family to celebrate Donna’s life on Saturday, July 21st, at 4 p.m. at Faith Bible Church of Olney, 6015 N IL 130. After a short service officiated by Pastor Zachary Slater, the family requests you join them for a time of visitation and sharing of memories over dinner at the church. Donna’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through tissue donation before cremation rites accorded. Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory of Granite City assisted with all arrangements. A special thank you to the doctors and staff of Carle Foundation Hospital for their care and support of Donna and family in her final days.
