  Russell was a fan and supporter of all Flora High School sporting events. He attended all the games and his presence was missed when he was no longer able to attend. He also enjoyed traveling and taking yearly vacations. Russell worked for over 30 years at the Flora Eagles Lodge and was a member of Flora First Church of God.
