  She and her husband owned and operated Hower's Grocery in Flora and Jeanine also worked as a beautician in Flora. She later went back to school to become a registered nurse and retired from a career in nursing. She and John enjoyed spending winters in Florida and playing golf. Jeanine took delight in her time spent with her family and will be remembered for spending her life helping others. She was a past member of Grace Nazarene Church in Salem, IL. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Clay County Cancer Crusaders.
